Textured black lacquered cup entirely handcrafted by Shigeki YAGI, a fourth-generation lacquerware craftsman based in Ishikawa Prefecture, Japan.
Shigeki YAGI wanted to decorate this cup with a depiction of a stormy sea. In order to make the movements of the waves more vivid, he used a thick brush to draw them over the cup. The result is a silvery sea under a black sky. This is a unique piece and the base of the cup is signed by Shigeki YAGI.

Taking Care of Your Cup:
